Contracting Party

personnel

spacecraft
have
suffered
accident
or are experiencing
conditions
of
distress
or have made an
emergency
or unintended
landing
in
territory
under its
jurisdiction
or on the
high seas
or in any other
place
not under the
jurisdiction
of any
State
shall immediately: ...

assistance

operations
for such
personnel
to
assure
their speedy
rescue

launching
authority
and the
Secretary-General of the United Nations
of the
steps
they are taking and of their
progress
